Welcome to the Podere dell'Arco farmhouse , a corner of paradise immersed in the scents and colors of the Viterbo countryside, just 1 km from the historic center of Viterbo and the majestic Papal Palace.

The ancient farmhouse dates back to the 15th century : it is said that for centuries it was the home of a community of working friars . Until 1873, the property belonged to Cardinal Carlo Cristofori , who made it available to the Church to support the poor and orphans through agricultural production and livestock farming.

The estate later passed to a prominent Viterbo family who continued the tradition of sharecropping. The Grani family 's history officially began in 1963 , when Marcello Grani purchased the old friary and the first plot of land, expanding the farm over the years to its current 30 hectares.

After the era of agrarian pacts, the farmhouse remained in usufruct with the sharecropper family who had lived there for generations. In 2003 , with the end of the usufruct, the Grani family began a meticulous restoration that lasted years. On May 19, 2007 , Podere dell'Arco reopened its doors, transforming the ancient friary into a charming refuge dedicated to the art of stopping time .
